Horizon includes the popular Vocal Rider, all CLA Classic Compressors, additional vintage analog models such as Kramer Tape and PuigChild, the entire L-series mastering plugins, the entire Renaissance series, the WLM Plus Loudness Meter, Bass Rider, DeBreath, Center, and more—in addition to all the plugins included in Platinum.

AudioTrack

When working in your DAW, there’s no need to put together a basic channel strip from multiple plugins—AudioTrack has already done the work for you. Optimize tone with four bands of parametric EQ, banish noise with gating, and tame or boost peaks with compression/expansion.

Because of its low CPU power, AudioTrack can also save time: to have EQ and dynamics available as soon as you start a project, insert an instance in every channel of a basic song template.

Bass Rider

Bass is the foundation of most tracks. But mixing bass is a challenge, because low frequencies are hard to reproduce and hear. Heavy compression is a workaround, but it alters the attack, tone, and sustain. Automating levels manually can sound better, but it’s tedious and imprecise.

Bass Rider provides consistent bass levels throughout your track, by controlling the bass’s gain automatically to maintain a steady target level. And because there’s no dynamics processing, the sound quality remains pristine.

C1 Compressor

The classic C1 combines a musically pleasing dynamics sound with rich features and functionality: Compression, expansion, upward expansion, gating, dynamic filtering, sidechaining, and internal sidechain filtering—all in one plugin.

C1 isn’t about ‘color’—it’s about solving problems. The clean, neutral sound complements any sound, because its sole goal is to deliver every type of dynamics processing any project needs.

C4 Multiband Compressor

The C4 blends an optimum combination of compression, expansion, limiting, dynamic EQ, and standard EQ to edit both dynamics and EQ with ease and accuracy. Whether you need to fix flaws, add intensity, or create character, this multi-purpose, time-tested tool is the answer.

Unlike multiband dynamics processors with rigidly defined capabilities, the C4 is a sonic chameleon that adapts its processing and functionality to your needs, and your tracks.

Center

It’s never too late to fix a “finished” stereo mix—with Center, you can widen or narrow the stereo image, change the balance of sounds panned to the sides or center, raise or lower lead vocals, remix drum loops, minimize “mud,” or bring out the best in bus effects—even when you don’t have access to the multitrack session.

Center distills complex mid-side processing techniques into a convenient, easy-to-use tool. Now you can fine-tune and even “remix” tracks during mastering—from changing vocal levels, to opening up more space for synth pads. If the audio is split between center and sides—Center will give you full control.

CLA Unplugged

Acoustic instruments play in an acoustic space, so enveloping them with a realistic ambiance is crucial to the mixing process. Chris Lord-Alge (Foo Fighters, Muse, Green Day, Bruce Springsteen) knows that glorious acoustic sounds require exquisite effect chains.

CLA Unplugged’s two lush reverbs (each with pre-delay), delay, bass/treble EQ, and compression give all acoustic instruments a luxurious polish—from realistic textures, to rich and dreamy.

CLA-2A Compressor / Limiter

The CLA-2A models what may be the most coveted and popular hardware compressor/limiter ever made. A favorite of studio engineers everywhere, this studio mainstay has graced countless vocal, bass, guitar, and other instrument tracks for over half a century with its alluring, warm sound.

Behind the strikingly simple interface, the original hardware’s optical-based dynamics processing relies on complex circuit interactions. Modeled from studio legend Chris Lord-Alge’s personally favorite hardware unit, CLA-2A perfectly emulates the original’s response and sound.

CLA-3A Compressor / Limiter

The CLA-3A combines solid-state circuitry’s fast attack with the gentle release of optical-based compression. A favorite on guitar, bass, and drums, the CLA-3A models the tight, punchy compression effect that played an important role in high-end studios of the 1970s.

Without the coloration of tubes, and only a slight hint of harmonic distortion, the CLA-3A handles high-level transients and pushes out punch—especially with midrange instruments.

CLA-76 Compressor / Limiter

Unlike the smooth sound of optical control-based compressors, the CLA-76 models the ultra-fast response, and tube-like distortion, of FET control circuitry. This plugin models two CLA-76s, based on hand-picked hardware that represents the best of the many revisions that were produced.

Tight, aggressive, and with a big, bold character, the CLA-76 is a favorite of acclaimed mix engineer Chris Lord-Alge. We modeled his two most-prized hardware units, “Bluey” and “Blacky,” both perfectly maintained in his studio—so you can have their sound in your mixes.
