Neil Peart Drums, the library of sounds and rhythms for SampleTank 3 is a collection of meticulously recorded SampleTank 3 instruments that more than 2,000 drum samples and more than 800 audio rhythms played by Neil Peart, the legendary drummer of the iconic band Canadian, Rush, recently in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Neil Peart Drums was recorded by the recent producer of Rush, Nick Rasculinecz, along with the executive producer and founder of IK United States, Dave Kerzner. No expense was spared with this highly stylized drum kit, the same set played by Neil during the album and the ""Snakes and Arrows"" tour by Rush.

Each nuance of the kit is captured with 8 speeds per drum using a maximum of 8 circular series per speed.

In addition to the complete instrument kit, you get individual SampleTank instruments for your drums, drummers, toms, hi-hats, ride cymbals and crash so you can customize the sounds, adding effects and performing individual instrument processing on each element using multiple parts in SampleTank. Add some extra compression to the bass drum, a little more reverb to the snare drum, a bit of sparkle to the hi-hat heights, each without affecting the other elements of the kit.

All drums are mapped using an extended General MIDI mapping so you can mix and match elements of the Neil Peart Kit with elements from other SampleTank 3 factory drum kits or other instrument collections available from the Custom Shop like the new Billy Cobham Kit.

Neil Peart Drums also audio sequences played by Neil in the style of many of his favorite Rush songs. There are 17 instruments grouped as ""songs"", complete with rhythms, fillings and accents, each at its own tempo. And thanks to the STRETCH engine of SampleTank 3, you can easily change the tempo of the audio sequences and match your recording without affecting the tuning of the drums.
