WLM is fully compliant with all current loudness measurement standards: the 2nd-generation ITU-R BS.1770-3 protocol, the up-and-coming EBU R 128 standard, and ATSC A/85 for broadcast and digital television.

Multiple Measurement Methods

Choose from the EBU’s detailed measurement methods, the LM1 protocol that averages loudness across an entire program, or DIAL, which uses dialog as the loudness anchor for measuring and averaging loudness.

Measure Audio Over Time with Comprehensive Weighting

WLM incorporates frequency weighting based on the Fletcher-Munson curve, as well as timescales (Momentary, Short Term, Integrated, or True Peak) to measure audio behavior over time.

You can fix audio levels within WLM—there’s no need to go back and forth between plugins. The True Peak limiter uses Waves’ acclaimed limiting technology to tame peaks, while a Gain trim control sets the final output.
