High Precision Linear Phase Equalizer

The T-RackS Linear Phase Equalizer is a precision tool that allows extremely detailed, clean and transparent tonal interventions on your audio material.

Linear phase operation is at the base of this six-track equalizer. This type of processing is particularly useful when there is a need to make color adjustments that are not colored, as they would have done if another type of EQ was used. A linear phase EQ, in fact, does not change the phase response of the frequency range at which the increase or reduction occurs, resulting in an absolutely transparent and non-stained sound.

As an addition to the Linear Phase response, the T-RackS Linear Phase EQ features six fully parametric equalization ranges. Each track can be configured to work as high pass, low shelving, peaking, high shelving or low pass, thus making the module extremely flexible.

This equalizer is perfect when you need to make EQ adjustments in the program and the audio does not look as equalized and as natural as possible, as if the audio had never been played: when in peak mode, your tracks can be set to have a wide and wide Q or super clear, to make ""microsurgical"" cuts in a very narrow frequency range, very useful to get rid of resonances or cut out noises.

This EQ sounds so natural that it can be used equally in individual tracks or in the entire mix; in the first case, it will be a ""problem solver"" in a poorly recorded track: sometimes percussion instruments need to be corrected in certain zones or they may have resonances that may be annoying or clash with the tonality of the song, but the fundamental tone must remain intact: that's where the accuracy and sound without distortion of this EQ really can be the solution.

In case of being used in a complete mix, such as a general mastering equalizer, the Q of the tracks can be set to a very wide and wide value for the action to be invisible.

A tremendous tool when used in conjunction with a traditional ""nonlinear phase"" EQ for the best of both worlds, the Linear Phase EQ will put your tracks in shape and will be invisible, allowing you to add ""color"" to the most appropriate modules for this task, such as IK's own Vintage Program EQ-1A ..
