aXDelay plugin is an Ambisonic delay effect with feedback and individual rotation of delays. Place the echoes in any direction for full creative control of the immersive scene.
Add subtle room-like effects or go for unreal, psychedelic madness – the option is yours!
aXDelay works with an ambisonic order up to tenth-order so you can take advantage of high resolution immersive audio.
Spatial Control
Each delay can be placed independently in space relative to the original sound. For example, place a delayed signal to the left of the listener and another to the right.
Delay With Tempo Sync
Control the delay for each tap with the option to sync to the tempo of your track. Adjust the level and feedback of the delay to get just the right blend.
Ambisonic Order Detection
Processing automatically matches the order of the input signal to optimise CPU usage when working with lower order signals. No need to manually select your ambisonic order.
Five individual delay modules : Control 5 modules each with their own delay, feedback and placement in the sound field.
Delay Time (manual or sync’d to DAW tempo) : Control how much delay there is between the direct sound and the echo.
Delay Gain : The level of the delayed signal relative to the dry input signal.
Feedback Gain : The gain applied to the feedback signals. Lower gains lead to faster decay.
Yaw, pitch and roll rotation of delay signal direction : Rotate the sound field relative to the original so the echoes arrive from a different point on the 3D sphere.
Individual tap bypass : Bypass individual delay modules.
Dry Level : Control the level of the dry input signal.
Wet Level : Control the level of all delayed signal modules.
Process High Resolution Tenth-Order Ambisonics
aXDelay can process any order up to tenth-order Ambisonics, letting you work with the highest spatial resolution currently available*.
Currently only possible in Reaper 7+ which allows for tracks with up to 128 channels. Other DAWs are limited to seventh-order (Pro Tools Ultimate) or third-order (e.g. Cubase).
Input/Output formats
