The high-performance 1.75" titanium dome compression driver is fitted on a 100° x 70° rotatable constant-directivity waveguide. This special waveguide and high-frequency transducer design allow excellent control of directional characteristics. In difficult acoustic environments, intelligibility is significantly increased.

The enclosure is made of high-quality Baltic birch plywood, glued with water-resistant adhesive and coated with weatherproof polyurea paint, ensuring excellent waterproofing, UV resistance, corrosion protection, and durability against abrasion, impacts, and mechanical stress. The solid machined aluminum structure efficiently dissipates heat fanlessly, improving enclosure stiffness, while the high-strength structural steel rigging ensures a high safety factor for secure weight management. Use it as a compact and powerful main system or to supplement a larger system. The waterproof cabinet is built in high-strength baltic birch plywood coated with black, robust, and scratch-resistant polyurea paint. Attached to a solid machined aluminum structure at the back, the amplifier heat dissipation is efficient and the cabinet is sturdy and stiff. A strong powder-coated metal grille protects the front, and an acoustically transparent sound foam backing on the inside of the grille ensures protection from dust and humidity.

With multiple rigging accessories and the unobtrusive form factor of the cabinet, KX 515-A is suitable for a wide range of configurations including hanging, pole-, truss-, wall- or ceiling-mounting— at any angle in horizontal or vertical orientation. Bass Motion Control
KX speakers equipped with Bass Motion Control (BMC) produce the lowest audible frequencies without affecting the woofer stability, with extended linearity and better sound integrity. The BMC method creates a complete map of the dynamic behavior of the woofer, to generate a custom algorithm that limits over-excursions. Traditional high-pass filters protect the woofer from over-excursion but change the phase/frequency response. In contrast, the new BMC algorithm protects the woofer allowing total freedom of signal reproduction.
New perspective on linearity
KX speakers are designed using a proprietary and advanced digital FiR technology, conceived to deliver transparent sound, absolute clarity, and perfect imaging to the listener. The special FiRPHASE processing distributes sound to all listeners without phase distortions, ensuring minimum latencies in the system. The algorithm corrects phase and amplitude (if necessary) by taking into account the weak points of the transducers and the resonances or cancellations due to the cabinet of the loudspeaker.
