For over 40 years, Jackson has been the guitar of choice for the world's most legendary metal shredders and hard rockers. Now we're going back to our roots and paying tribute to our iconic history with the Pro Origin 1985 Series.
Built with pride in Ensenada to celebrate Jackson's beginnings, the Pro Origin Series brings back the San Dimas style that defined a generation of boundary-pushing guitar gods. Featuring Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and Hotrails in the neck. The resonant alder body delivers the perfect balance of warmth and punch, with exceptional sustain and clarity that cuts through the mix. Each maple neck is artfully tinted to capture that coveted amber glow of perfectly aged wood, while the sleek, speed-optimized neck profile ensures your fingers fly across the fretboard with devastating velocity. From 12"-16" compound radius ebony fingerboard with large dot inlays to top-mounted Floyd Rose 1000 series double locking tremolos, these new/old classics are loaded with the features that true metalheads crave, letting you channel the spirit of the glory days when Jackson ruled the LA scene.
The Pro Origin 1985 Series mixes throwback vibe with modern playability for a retro-futuristic style that stands out. With historically accurate Jackson pickup tones meticulously recreated from the original specifications, these shred machines let you reconnect with the rich heritage of a true industry pioneer.
Play it loud, play it proud and go back to the future - the Pro Origin 1985 Series puts Jackson's legacy of attitude and innovation right at your fingertips.
Top-mounted Floyd Rose 1000 Series double locking tremolo
Unleash your inner shredder with the top-mounted Floyd Rose 1000! This beast gives you ultimate dive bomb capability for face-melting solos. The double-locking design keeps your axe in tune through relentless trem abuse. Shred and wail all night long without going out of tune.
12"-16" Compound Radius Ebony Fingerboard
Jackson pioneered the use of the innovative 12"-16" compound radius design, in which the fingerboard gradually flattens toward the heel from its more rounded profile at the nut. This makes for comfortable and natural-feeling chording and riffing near the nut, with optimal shred articulation and bending nearer the heel.
Seymour Duncan JB TB-4/Seymour Duncan Hot Rails SHR-1N
Marking an unusual HS pickup configuration routing for Jackson, the incredibly popular JB bridge pickup brings big, heavy sound, sustain and rich harmonics and is matched with a single-coil sized Hot Rails neck pickup. This neck pickup delivers big-sounding, well balanced humbucker tones for rock and metal, and adds fat and warm clean tones for those thick, fluid solos.
