• Handy Drums Mallets do not require a complicated instruction manual to use. Over 50 samplers and smart algorithms work in the background to power a seamless experience behind the simple user interface.

Multiple Dynamic Levels

• Each drum and cymbal was sampled at multiple dynamic levels to ensure the instrument’s fullest dynamic range when played back. Handy Drums Mallets were recorded at up to 10 dynamic levels.

Round Robin

• Up to 10 samples per dynamic level
• Our ear instantly knows when a computer plays the same sample repeatedly (such as a drum roll). This is because when a real human hits a drum, each stroke that follows is always slightly different from the previous one, regardless of how great a drummer they are.
• Each Handy Drum Mallets drum and cymbal has been sampled numerous times at every dynamic level. During playback, a different sample is triggered each time, ensuring that no sample is repeated sequentially.

24bit Samples

• All Handy Drums samples were recorded in 24bit wav format for the finest resolution and sound quality.

Immaculately-Sampled Acoustic Drums

• To achieve larger-than-life yet completely natural-sounding drums, every step of the sampling process is just as important. Starting with choosing the right drum for the job, tuning them, placing them and the microphones in the right place, every aspect of the process was carefully thought out before even a single note was played.
• The instrument and room are then captured using the highest-quality mics, preamps, and converters to preserve every fine detail.

Mixer

• While the Handy Drums come naturally pre-leveled between components, you still have the option to tweak and automate individual drum components to best suit your mix. More kick or snare. No problem.

Adjustable Drum Mapping

• Handy Drums conform to GM drum mapping wherever possible. This allows using any standard midi drum loop in your DAW for instant results. You can also easily match the mapping of Handy Drums to any custom midi drum loop.

Multiple Outputs

• Using your favourite compressor, tape simulation, EQ or other effect plugins is a breeze. Each individual drum component can be routed to any the available eight stereo sub groups allowing them to be independently processed.

Variable Hi-Hats

• An acoustic hi-hat is a complex instrument in its own right. Handy Drums’s variable hi-hats utilize the full range of sampled hats from tightly closed to closed, 25% open, 50% open, 75% open, and 100% open, for both tip and edge sounds.
• Despite these 12 types of articulations, multiple dynamic ranges, and round robins, you can seamlessly switch from one to another using only TWO notes and a CC4 controller.
• The variable Hi-hats alone contain over 700 samples.
• In addition to variable hats, standard open/close/foot hats are also included for better compatibility with GM drum loops. As a bonus, included is foot splash hi-hat articulation on B1.

Adjustable Cc4 Curve (Variable Hats Foot Controller)

• For those using electronic drums or drum triggers you’ll be pleased to see that you can adjust your hi-hat foot controller curve. The curve is particularly useful for drum modules that do not output the full value range from 1-127.

• Add color, uplift song sections, and infuse deeper groove into your rhythm tracks with percussion.
• Handy Drums Mallets come with several percussion instruments and their dedicated mixer tab:
• Handclaps, fingersnaps, tambourine, cowbell, shaker, triangle, and metronome sounds.

Audition Buttons

• It’s easy to preview the sounds of the drumset quickly by clicking on the icons. The components will play at random velocities.

Perfect For Drum Replacement

• Sometimes as a producer or mixer you may find yourself in a situation where the only option left is to use drum replacements.
• This sampled drum instrument is an ideal choice as a drum replacement contender. If your DAW can extract transients from an audio recording, it is a simple task to create a MIDI track from it and rout it to Handy Drums instrument.
• Alternatively, you can use a dedicated drum replacement tool such as appTrigga3.
