There's a subtle bit of weight added as you increase the amount slider. It also sounds like there is some saturation being applied in the modeled signal path.  There are different compressors and unique pro vocal chains emulated inside each setting; both analog vintage and modern units are represented. I found Lush Vox perfect for compressing lead vocals when I'm in a hurry and without the time to audition several different vocal chains and compressors with various settings.
