Reversible StagePlate

The Badder Monkey’s reversible StagePlate lets you quickly switch between a grippy skid pad and a hook surface for pedalboard mounting, giving you maximum stability and convenience.

A Sip Of Inspiration

What started as a group of DOD employees brewing homemade beer under the playful name "Bad Monkey Brewery" eventually inspired the original Bad Monkey pedal-and now its modern successor, the Badder Monkey.

Barrel (Blend) Control

This patent-pending 360 Degree control lets you chose between the Behaved, Bad, and Badder circuits. Or dial in a combo of 2 circuits to find your perfect tone.

Stageplateth

The patent-pending 2-sided StagePlate ships with the rubber skid-pad side exposed for stable grip, and can be flipped to the hook side (Velcro) for pedalboard mounting by removing and reinstalling the four screws-giving you reliable flexibility in any setup.

Bananas (Gain) Control

Sets the overdrive gain level, adding progressively more distortion and harmonic complexity until your sound quite literally goes "bananas."

Curiosity (Level) Control

Controls the overall output level of the pedal, giving your tone the presence it needs-just like a curious monkey that can't help stepping forward.

Mood (Eq) Control

GRUNT (Low EQ) controls the level of the low-frequency equalizer band while SCREECH (Mid/High EQ) controls the level of the mid/high-frequency equalizer band.

Blend Mode Toggle Switch

• UP : The Bad overdrive circuit is in phase with the Behaved and Badder circuits when mixed by the BARREL control.
• CENTER : Combines all three circuits (Behaved, Bad, and Badder) into one blended parallel distortion. NOTE: BARREL control will have no adjustment control when in TROOP mode.
• DOWN : The Bad overdrive circuit is out of phase with the Behaved and Badder circuits when mixed by the BARREL control. This out-of-phase mode induces phase cancellation of various frequencies, resulting in additional tonal variety in the blended overdrive sounds.

Footswitch & LED Indicator

This True Bypass footswitch turns the overdrive on or off. LED is lit when pedal is active. Color Indicates Toggle postion: Up (Blue), Center (Green), Down (Teal).

From its three completely independent Behaved, Bad, and Badder overdrive circuits giving you three pedals in one, to its unique parallel blending enabled by the patent-pending Barrel Control, further enhanced by optional out-of-phase combinations, to the all-three-in-parallel Troopmode, the Badder Monkey represents unheard-of variability in an affordable compact overdrive pedal!
