AMPED 2 is a 100 Watt pedal power amplifier with drive pedals in the front end, and an advanced effects processor, capable of delivering the tone and feel of traditional valve amps. You can use it in the front end of a traditional amp, power a cabinet at 100 Watts or go direct, ensuring you can take your sound with you anywhere. Power reduction down to 1W and USB-C connectivity means it’s equally at home in the studio or the stage.

Reverb, Delay and Modulation With Freeze/Emphasis Effect

The Reverb type, time and level can be customised on the front panel of the amplifier. The Reverb tone can be customised using Blackstar’s Architect deep-editing software and saved to the Dept. 10 AMPED 2 in place of the default reverb. When the Reverb is active, holding the Reverb footswitch will activate the ‘Freeze’ effect.

The Delay type, time, feedback and level can be customised on the front panel of the amplifier. The Delay pedal can be placed pre or post the Amplifier section using Blackstar’s Architect deep-editing software. The Delay trails can also be turned on or off using Blackstar’s Architect software. When the Delay pedal is active, holding the Delay footswitch will activate the ‘Freeze’ effect.

The Modulation type, time, depth and level can be customised on the front panel of the amplifier. When the Modulation pedal is active, holding the Modulation footswitch will activate an ‘Emphasis’ effect. The current settings of the selected Modulation type will be emphasised, with the result being a more intense effect.

Universal Voltage

Dept 10. AMPED 2 is universal voltage so can be used anywhere in the world from 100V to 240V ~ 50/60Hz. Just stick it in your gigbag and hop on that plane.

Authentic Valve Amp Feel

The unique power amplifier design uses current feedback which mimics a valve amplifiers interaction with a speaker cabinet. This very high headroom design delivers the thump and presence of a valve amp with 100W power, into any speaker cabinet at 8 or 16 Ohms.
