The UAD-2 DUO DSP Accelerator Card is a workhorse of modern mixing, giving producers and engineers unrestricted access to award-winning UAD Powered Plug-Ins on Mac or PC. This PCIe card features dual Analog Devices SHARC chips to “power” a larger collection of the world’s finest analog emulation plug-ins — including classics from Neve, Roland, BOSS, Empirical Labs, EMT, Fairchild, Harrison, Helios, Little Labs, Pultec, SPL, Teletronix and more.

With its dual SHARC processors, the UAD-2 DUO lets you run large, professional mixes with ultra high-quality plug-ins, freeing up your Mac or PC’s internal processor for other mixing or virtual instrument duties. Whether you use Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Nuendo or Performer, a UAD-2 DUO can provide rich, analog sound quality that would be difficult or impossible to achieve with a native Mac- or PC-based system.

Universal Plugins, and the UAD-2 Quad Flexi When it comes right down to it, I'm an old-school, analog kind of guy. If I had my druthers, I would have whole walls racked to the gills with every outboard goodie on the planet. I'd track everything through a Helios console to Studer A800 reel-to-reel (GP9 tape, thank you very much) and have one of the last vintage Fairchild compressors on the planet as icing on the proverbial stereo buss cake. I'd also have a submarine and a private island, and the ability to cause a rift in the space-time continuum that...
