Dead simple
Review by Dereck -
Pair with a decent pre, put in front of a loud amp or on top of a snare, destroy everything in your path. Look, its true - you can not have too many of these mics. I have 5 and when recording drums at least 3 of them are in use. They work for these sounds and pair well with ribbons. (Posted on 3/29/11)Rating

Industry standard sound
Review by Jared -
This mic is the industry standard for guitar amps, snare drums, toms, and other sources. It is called the \"swiss army knife\" of mics, because it does a great job on really ANY source. I can\'t say I\'ve used it on everything, but everything I\'ve used it for has sounded great, and at this price, you really can\'t go wrong. If you\'re new to recording and can only get one mic... this is it. (Posted on 2/8/11)Rating

It\'s the standard
Review by Joey -
Yes, there are more expensive mics out there, but this is a standard for a reason. It does what you need it to do. It is an inexpensive mic and it sounds great.Rating
I am a drummer and in any performing or recording environment I usually have some 57\'s on the snare and toms.
For the price, you really can\'t go wrong. (Posted on 1/25/11)
