Pioneer CDJ-350
Review by DJ JayMoe -
I had the opportunity to try out Pioneer’s CDJ-350 this weekend.Rating
Right after Pioneer released CDJ 2000 and the DJM 2000 they lunched the Pioneer CDJ 350. I has the opportunity to test these out, on a party. This is what came out of it: Pioneer was able to construct a product that felt and operated like its counterparts. It features the usual like multi format playback, auto beat loop, scratch platter, etc. I was really impressed with the addition of the USB input. The input allows you to DJ from a flash drive. Simply plug in a flash drive with music and leave the CDs and laptops at home. I found the folder navigation to be extremely simple. The display broke everything down by song, artist, album or playlist. The bundled Rekordbox software makes it easy to create and save playlists, analyze files, and export your music to a flash drive. The CDJ-350′s can also be used with your favorite DJ software. Time-coded CDs work just as well in the CDJ-350′s as any other turntable. Also, Pioneer added a USB output. When the turntables are connected to a computer they can be used as MIDI controllers. Most of the popular DJ software can read this MIDI information and the need for time-coded CDs is no more. Overall, the CDJ-350′s are a great addition to Pioneer’s awesome lineup. They’re a good choice for beginners or even the avid mobile DJ. (Posted on 4/3/11)
