MOTU Traveler mk3

Portable bus-powered audio interface with on-board effects and mixing.

Engineered for high-end mobile recording applications, the Traveler-mk3 from MOTU delivers four very high quality mic inputs, bus power, optional battery power, and DSP-driven mixing and effects processing. The rackmountable Traveler-mk3 interface gives you 8 channels of 192kHz analog recording and playback combined with 20 channels of digital I/O in ADAT optical, AES/EBU, and S/PDIF formats. Expand your system by connecting additional MOTU FireWire audio interfaces or through the 8pre mic input expander.

The MOTU Traveler-mk3 is equally suited for studio, stage, and remote locations, with or without a computer. As an interface or standalone mixer, the Traveler-mk3 provides 28 separate inputs and 30 separate outputs, including 4 XLR/1/4" combo mic/instrument analog inputs equipped with pre-amps, individual 48V phantom power switches, and Digital Precision Trim controls conveniently adjusted from the front panel or via the included CueMix FX software.

This handy interface makes it possible to connect all of your audio instruments and gear, including mics, guitars, synths, keyboards, drum machines, and even effects processors. Record, monitor, route, and process all of these live inputs using the professional on-board CueMix FX digital mixer with no latency and no processor strain on your computer. Apply hardware DSP-driven effects processing to inputs, outputs, and busses independent of your host computer.

The Traveler-mk3 audio interface lets you add Classic Reverb with lengths up to 60 seconds. Further sculpt your sound with its 7-band parametric EQ featuring filter types carefully modeled after British analog console EQs. Choose between two forms of compression: a conventional compressor, and the Leveler, an accurate model of the legendary LA-2A optical compressor that provides vintage, musical automatic gain control. When recording from the 4 mic/guitar inputs, the Traveler-mk3's signal overload protection gives you an extra 12dB of headroom above zero with no clipping or harsh artifacts.

After programming the on-board mixing in the studio, unplug the MOTU Traveler-mk3, remove the rack brackets, and take it on the road for operation as a portable, bus-powered audio interface for a laptop, or battery-operated standalone mixer with effects. The Traveler slides easily into your backpack and fits neatly beneath a laptop. All mixing and effects parameters are adjustable using the front panel backlit LCD. Record extended sessions even in the most remote locations with the complete freedom of field battery power.

The Traveler-mk3 interface provides cross-platform compatibility with Mac and Windows and all of your favorite audio software and host-based effects via WDM/ASIO/Core Audio drivers. You can also use the included AudioDesk workstation software for Mac, with 24-bit recording/editing and 32-bit mixing/processing/mastering.

Nektar Panorama P1

Panorama P1 is an incredible controller with the most intuitive workflow you have ever seen.

Spectacular , deep Reason & Cubase implementations, along with vast MIDI programming options means you can focus on your music instead of the equipment. Set up your generic MIDI presets for instant recall when you need them or use Panorama P1 with Reason or Cubase for a completely integrated experience.

POWER OF CONTROL

The enormous controlling power of Panorama P1 is contained in a compact case about the size of a 17" laptop. An unrivalled amount of assignable controls makes Panorama the most comprehensive and fully featured MIDI controller around. 16 encoders, 9 45mm faders, 10 LED buttons, 28 buttons and a foot switch jack gives you immediate control of up to 61 parameters at any one time. Settings can be stored in 20 presets with individually save and loadable F-keys maps for more than 1200 combinations. The numbers may not matter but being in control does.

THE DISPLAY SAYS IT ALL

A crystal clear 3.5" color TFT display delivers the information you really need, for each mode or menu. Regardless of whether you are operating Cubase, Reason or programming MIDI assignments in Internal mode, the display provides detailed information that makes your workflow fluent and fast. Panorama takes the hard work out of using a controller and makes operations that seem complicated and non-transparent on other products, straight-forward and simple.

MIDI CONTROL - A GAME OF MANY OPTIONS!

Setting up presets or F-keys maps is easy on Panorama. The Control Edit menu enables you to quickly select a control and in real-time assign the MIDI command you want. For each control values can be scaled, reverse and assigned specific or global MIDI channels. The chart shows the programming options available for each type of control.

TRANSPORT WHEN YOU NEED IT, FUNCTION BUTTONS WHEN YOU DON'T

It's hard to go places without transport so Panorama features an extended 11 button transport bar, positions right where you need it controlling: Return to L, Forward to R, Undo, Click on/off, Record Mode, Cycle on/off, Back, Forward, Stop, Play and Record. Using the shift button, these also double up as 11 function buttons each assignable to MIDI commands or QWERTY macro's.

SHORTCUT TO SOFTWARE FUNCTIONS

So QWERTY macro's...... big deal, right? That's right, its a VERY big deal. Your software has a ton of features and functions that can be activated using QWERTY shortcut commands. Assigning a command to a button so you don't have to be near your computer makes life a lot easier. Assigning a string of up to 8 commands takes it to another level. With this powerful feature you could for example enter edit mode, zoom in and select a tool with just one button press. Or create an instrument or effects track and locate a folder containing your presets so you can select them from Panorama, all with one button press and without looking at your computer

CONTROLLING BITWIG STUDIO, CUBASE, LOGIC PRO, MAINSTAGE, NUENDO, REAPER OR REASON HAS NEVER FELT SO REAL

For Bitwig Studio, Cubase, Logic Pro, MainStage, Nuendo, Reaper and Reason users, Panorama is a dream come true. The dedicated communication protocol ties Panorama and your DAW tightly together so all you have to do is select the mode and menu you want to control. Panorama does the rest. Three modes allows you one button press to switch between controlling the Mixer, Instruments (VSTi or Devices) and Transport, with the 4th mode, Internal, still providing access to traditional MIDI control. The integration is so deep that you can immerse yourself in your music without having to constantly reach for the mouse. Panorama gives you the creative freedom to just focus on your music.

YOUR REWIRE SLAVE AND HOST CONTROLLED IN ABSOLUTE REAL-TIME

Reason ReWired to Cubase or Nuendo is a whole new experience with Panorama. Select which DAW you want to control straight from Panorama, in absolute real-time and regardless of what's in focus on your computer. Color coding clearly tells you which environment you are controlling so you don't get confused as you switch back and forth. And better still, there really is not functionality lost when you change from controlling one DAW to the other. You of course could buy 2 Panorama products to achieve the same result but with Panorama you don't have to. The choice is yours.

McDSP ML4000 Native v6

The Essential Mastering Solution

The ML4000 is a high-resolution limiter and multi-band dynamics processor designed for music, mastering, post, and live sound.

The ML4000 is two plug-ins:

  • ML1 – mastering limiter
  • ML4 – multi-band Gate, Expander, and Compressor fed into the ML1 mastering limiter

The ML1 mastering limiter uses a flexible brick wall look-ahead design coupled with multiple stages of limiting for superior peak detection.  The unique Knee and Mode controls allow the ML1 to handle any kind of material with a variety of responses ranging from transparent to aggressive.

The ML4 multi-band dynamics processor includes a 4-band Gate, Expander (upwards or downwards), and Compressor fed into the same limiter algorithm found in the ML1.  Each band’s Gate, Expander, and Compressor can be configured separately or linked together.  Steep 24 dB/Oct crossover filters minimize signal leakage into adjacent bands.  Multiple real-time metering options in each band allow quick visualization of all signal dynamics.

The ML4 crossover page shows the overall frequency response in real-time of the input, output, or total dynamics effect, on top of the graphically adjustable crossover frequencies.

Accurate output adjustment is fast and simple with output ceiling control, large meters, and meter level text readouts.

The ML4000 provides outstanding results with an intuitive user interface, flexible design, and powerful set of algorithms.
