Jeremy from our returns department can wear a different Iron Maiden shirt for a week straight. I defy anyone to be more metal. Seven in all, each shirt has a story behind it:

This shirt is pretty sweet. This was a cool tour, if you like this album, as they played it in its entirety! There were a lot of unhappy hessians in the crowd that night who wanted to hear more classic stuff, but Maiden made up for it by having Eddie come out of a giant tank on stage. Awesome.

My lucky lady bought this for me for Christmas last year. It’s a cool graphic of “Powerslave” Eddie. I like it because it doesn’t look like every other Maiden shirt.

This is my new favorite, because it was only available for one show. Eddie running people over in front of Madison Square Garden. The back graphic commemorates this one show in NYC from the recent Final Frontier tour.

I bought this shirt because it was so freakin’ loud! It looks like Eddie’s gonna jump out and stomp you.

My girlfriend bought me this shirt for my birthday, shortly after we began dating nearly 10 years ago. I only wear it once in a while now, as it’s on the verge of disintegrating. I am a lucky man. It’s not everyday that you meet a lady who loves Maiden as much as me….and doesn’t mind hanging around with my degenerate friends!

This was from 2008’s “Somewhere Back in Time” tour. This particular leg of the tour was only select cities, as singer Bruce Dickinson was piloting the band in a custom-painted jet called “Ed Force One” (see the doc “Flight 666”, which details this romp). I attended the Izod Center show in Jersey, after about 9 hours of tailgating. On this tour, they re-created the “Powerslave” tour stage set, and played only the classics. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen from any band.

This shirt has a lot of sentimental value. For one, it was bought at my first Maiden concert ever, in 2006. This was a crazy day for me actually. Earlier in the day, I had to attend the funeral of one of my best friends and roommate. I actually almost didn’t even go to the show. However, Iron Maiden’s music is very uplifting, and I decided I needed to go through with it. I’m glad I did. Being from a small town, this was really my first ever big arena concert experience, and totally clinched Maiden as one of my all-time favorite bands. I will also always think of my friend George whenever I see this shirt.
