Best bang for the buck (BY FAR!)
Review by Nate -
I received mine today, and my first thought was \"wow, how did I just get this for $500?\".Rating
pros: hard, edgy sound. multi-mode, layering control. arpeggiator & pattern sequencing. Filter makes quality bass, and piercing resonance. Loads of waveforms. Thick, full sounding pads and strings. Fully customizable via software interface.
cons: Lightweight plastic shell. Slightly (very slightly) cheap feeling keyboard - maybe it\'s because mine just came out of the box, it feels both sturdy and cheap at the same time..... call me crazy. Not fully customizable without computer (a slight irritation considering miniak etc are very difficult to program regardless imo). Digital, not for the analog junkies.....
Result: Perfect for the hard electro musician, and even moreso for the ones with budgetary restrictions. Seems to fill a sonic hole in my studio which required a fair amount of effect chaining, and still didn\'t sound \"quite right\". I\'m glad I got one now before the price goes up.....
