I've had the opportunity to play with this sub once and it really gave my two JBL Prx-612 speakers a complete all around sound. This isn't a sub for chest pounding bass, but it does a great job filling in the low end. (Posted on 11/10/12)

I just received the Electro Voice ZXA1 Sub and I'm very surprized by this little thing. As mentioned in the previous review, this is not a sub for chest pounding bass. If you want some extra fill for your loudspeakers, then this thing is for you. It does a great job filling in on the low end. I own two JBL PRX612M speakers and they sound great together. I just received the Electro Voice zxa1 sub in today and I'm pretty impressed with this little thing. If you looking for something to give you chest pounding bass, you need to look for a 18'' powered woofer. I have two JBL PRX612M speakers and this thing fills it in the bass perfectly. If you looking for some extra bass, they sub would be for you. Great job EV. (Posted on 10/26/12)

I was very hesitant to order this sub due to the size and the lack of reviews due to the "newness" at the time. I am VERY happy with this sub. I paired it with (2) Mackie SRM 450v2 speakers. I also use an Aphex Aural Exciter 204. This sub is very warm and full. This is NOT a sub for chest thumping bass, as you can't cheat physics of an 18". I would say this is GREAT for mid/small settings. If you have a larger venue, get 2! I am considering getting 1 more. This sub is light and small. It will provide you with a nice rich and full sound for sure! You are better with it than without if you have limited travel space for a sub as I do. (Posted on 3/22/12)
