Numark Mixtrack
Product Description for the Numark Mixtrack
MIXTRACK is a powerhouse controller in a compact chassis for performing and producing with DJ software. The familiar layout works just like two decks and a mixer so whether you're a seasoned professional or building your DJ skills, MIXTRACK is easy to learn and handles advanced techniques. It's portable so you can grab MIXTRACK and your laptop and go to wherever the gig is.
FAMILIAR LAYOUT
MIXTRACK has two deck controller sections with large touch-activated jog wheels and transports controls. Whether you're used to a CD player, turntables, or any other traditional DJ hardware, you'll find getting around easy. The center of MIXTRACK’s surface is its mixer section with a smooth crossfader, line faders, deck EQs, and more advanced controls for looping and effects.
FULLY EQUIPPED, MIDI COMPLIANT
MIXTRACK comes with the powerful DJ software which makes it easy to mix your favorite music. Virtual DJ LE comes standard in North and South America, while Native Instruments'® Traktor LE is included in Europe and Asia. Both applications integrate with your iTunes library for playback and mixing of songs. Regardless of which software it comes with, MIXTRACK lets you create professional sounding mixes at home or at live performances at parties, functions and clubs. Full MIDI compliance means MIXTRACK will also work with virtually any MIDI-mappable music software.
EASY USB CONNECTION
MIXTRACK connects to your Mac or PC as a class-compliant USB device so it requires no software drivers to work, and USB powers it so you won't need an external supply.

Don\'t sleep on the Mixtrack
Review by illmagnetic -
This device is NICE and yes I know that rhymes. It is lightweight but with a nice sturdy plastic. It has plenty of knobs and buttons for you to map and it\'s totally responsive. If you are using virtual dj or traktor then it is a dream machine for midi mapping. I normally use technics 1200 but when I\'m doing small gigs and don\'t feel like lugging heavy turntables I bring the mixtrack. This along with a good soundcard does the job. I usually bring a piece of foam so I can safely place it on top of a turntable or CDJ. For the price you can\'t beat it. (Posted on 9/11/11)Rating

Great Product at a Great Price
Review by HotFieryTech -
The Numark Mixtrack is an awesome product. It does what a DJ controller should do, IT WORKS. Right when you take it out of the box, it is ready to go (after you use the Traktor install CD). The user interface is very intuitive and easy to learn. Traktor is also very good DJ software. The Mixtrack is midi-mappable, so that means that you can also map it however you like, or in other words, make all the buttons and knobs do whatever you want. The EQ is not amazing, but what can you expect. Also, the crossfader is not the best, but again, what can you expect for $150? The interface for selecting tracks is good, but if you have 1000s of songs like me, the scrolling knob is way too slow. I\'ve also noticed that the stutter button doesn\'t do anything, maybe that is the TSI, or maybe it is Traktor. The pitch faders are not very accurate, and it is hard to get an exact tempo with them. The pitch bend buttons sometimes mess up the track playing on the other deck, but again, that might be a problem with Traktor. The effect controls are good, but you can only control one effect. I think that the EQ kills are completely pointless, so I remapped them as hotcues.Rating
