Great but doesn\'t have FX
Review by Skyvo -
I\'ve had this unit for about a year now and it performs very nicely! I\'ll have a Denon HD2500 hooked up to the first 2 channels and use the Cross Fader start mode to remotely play a song, without having to push that extra button on the controller. I really feel the clarity and sound that this unit produces whenever I take it out, even at home. The faders are REALLY smooth. When I first got it, I had an old mixer sitting around and the first thing that I caught was the faders are VERY light. I can make them move half way just by blowing hard on them...makes it effortless to crossfade between songs and tune channel levels. Speaking of channels, another cool feature is the channel select knob on top of each channel; if you plugged something in and don\'t want to go behind the wires to use a different channel for any reason, you can just change that with the twist of the knob. This was really handy when I went live and someone wanted a song off an iPod and I didn\'t pay attention to which Ch. the aux was plugged into. I just switched around and found it in a second. The only downside to it is that there are no onboard effects and if you don\'t have an additional effects module, then you\'re stuck with what your music players came with. Otherwise, it\'s an all-around awesome mixer for any beginner mobile DJ like myself, looking to get into the industry. I\'d give it 5 starts if it had FX built in... (Posted on 3/24/11)Rating
