I have had this speaker for well over a year. I am a mobile DJ and want to share my experiance with the Electro-Voice ELX115P. Everywhere I take them I am greeted with peeled eyes and ppl asking if that is all I brought. They see the size of a pair of ELX115P and think to them self "This party is going to bomb". Half ways through my gig; I am apporched by many to tell me how great they sound and where they can pick up a pair. Enough said!!! I am not going to go into how loud the highs are and how low the bass gets... This speaker is ten stars, not just 5... GREAT PRODUCT!!! (Posted on 11/7/12)

The EV,s got here in two days from ProAudioStar in N.Y. (Great guys!)
First thing I noticed after hooking them up was the clarity and tightness of the sound at first the bass seems a bit subdued, tight but not overwhelming. After changing the onboard EQ to smiley face it was better, I cranked it up and the tightness and clarity just kept giving, awesome sound. I then re hooked it up running through the DBX driverack, I went back to flat EQ on the EV\'s and gave it a few dB\'s around the kick drum frequencies on 2 hi-q parametric filters.
When I cranked it again the bass was still tight but much more forward in the mix, I was amazed.I couldn\'t get it up high enough to engage the limiter in my house it was just to loud for a small room. I usually run at least one sub but I have a small (100 or so) gig this weekend and I will try them without the sub at least to start the night. I will post how it went.

ON THE LATEST revision tho the manual the weight has gone down from 53.5 to 49.5 .bs.! That puts it a lot closer to the weight of the PRX615. I had no trouble getting it up on stands seems like fifty or less to me.
This speaker rocks, I can\'t imagine a better bang for the buck speaker,sure blows away the old Mackie 450\'s and JBL\'s cheaper lines. I was expecting the published spec.s to be exaggerated; 1000Watts? 134 dB?? They may be real, the 1000 watts for sure!!

I DONT HAVE THESE SPEAKERS YET BUT I SAW IT HEARD IT IN STORE AND IM BUYING IT!IVE COMPARED ALL 3 GREAT POWERED SPEAKERS OUT THERE RIGHT NOW AND SO FAR THIS EV IS CLEAR CRISP AND CHEAPER COMPARE TO THE K12 OR K15 AND JBL!!! (Posted on 6/29/11)

This speakers are pretty awesome. No distortion from these speakers whatsoever and I have been pushing them to the limit with some of my gigs to see how far they can be pushed. Now I would give it 5 stars but here are my gripes and these are more personal than anything so take it for what it is. These speakers scuff really easily which bothered me. I came home from a gig one night and SLIGHTLY bumped my speaker against the wall and guess what? When I placed them on my stand and looked at the sides, I saw some scuff marks, and thinking if I dropped 1400 on these babies they should be a bit more study design wise if that makes sense. Now another thing I\'m concerned about is the volume of these things. Whenever I turn these, the volume nub (1-10) you can hardly hear anything from 1-3. I know I\'m not suppose to hear a lot when the volume nub is on 2 or 3 but it does worry me that the sound just sounds REGULAR when its on at fifty percent. (Posted on 5/7/11)
