Don't let the size fool you!!

This speaker kicks @$$ in many ways!! First time I heard this at Mobile Beat Las Vegas, I was blown away by its sound and size. Easy to lug around and well built with outstanding sound quality. Trying to get rid of my mackies in order to get more of these. Yes, they're pricey but worth every penny. (Posted on 2/8/13)

Great highs and lows. Light but powerful

I am a full time musician and perform about 350 shows a year. I play guitar, sing, and use backing tracks. Not big venues (restaurants, clubs, etc) for about 20 - 100 people. Works and sounds great. Very light and easy to transport. Use it with a Bose Tonematch mixer. I will buy another one soon! (Posted on 11/26/12)

Excellent vocal monitor

We've been Electro-Voice fans since we bought 4 112p's and 2 118p's for our main system, but had to settle on the monitors as a result.

However, after a year we upgraded in early May to the ZXA1s from Mackie TH-12s as our stage monitors. We use 2 as side-fill for the vocalists up front, and 3 on the floor to cover the 5 musicians. We rotated the horn on the floor monitors (and the logo, so we can tell them apart!) and the coverage is great.

Plenty of volume at 800w, and the clarity is excellent. If you're going to roll off most your low end, anyway, these are a no-brainer. And with the current promotion at $400, it's even better.

We did buy the E/V padded covers ($39 each) to keep from scratching them. A nice investment, and a classy look.

Highly recommended by one happy gigging band in Cincinnati! (Posted on 5/31/12)
