I was thinking back to a photo feature I saw in XLR8R magazine a long time ago and found the book Bedroom Rockers: Where DJ’s Call Home by Christopher Woodcock. The book is long out of print but thankfully there are several photos still on Christopher’s website. Some awesome names featured here and at an exciting time for DJing (2004). Home computers and laptops were just starting to sneak their way into the DJ/home producer setup but not without a healthy dose of samplers and synths stacked around the turntables. Makes me wonder what people’s home setups would look like today…
