Product Description for the AIAIAI TMA-1 DJ Headphones

The one-piece TMA-1 headband consists of a strong, durable and flexible nylon material, which provides full flexibility when wearing and positioning the headphones during DJing. The two different cushions can be changed easily with the click release function, so the headphones fit all situations â€" from a noisy club environment to just being on the road. The speaker is protected by the cushion plate with integrated filter and provides the richest sound that is available today along with the most durable driver technology. Finally, there is a 3mm cotton fiber filter for isolation and the headphone cup out of a resistant ABS material to protect the fragile parts. The 1.7 meter cable has a mini jack connection in both ends as well as a reinforced plug with a 1/8 adapter option. It has a 0.4 meter coil on the wire, which gives extra length and flexibility at the turntable.

The name TMA-1 (Tycho Magnetic Anomaly-1) is taken from Arthur C. Clarke's science fiction novel "2001: A Space Odyssey" and refers to a black Monolith, which is extremely long-lived and reliable â€" just as the TMA-1.

AIAIAI's entry to the DJ headphone world has gotten a ton attention. They seem to filling a few voids here offering a rugged headphone with simplistic design and sheik low profile look (no logos or shiny parts). There have been a lot of reviews so far lauding their sound quality, rugged feel, and comfortable fit. I wore them for a day in our warehouse and can attest to their great sound quality. These are by far the best headphones I've owned. from the picture, you can see that they look AWESOME. They're rugged.. and unless you are deliberately trying to break these things, I don't see many ways to damage them. The sound is great, the lows are a little strong, but that is to be expected in DJ headphones. Overall, great pair of phones, I love mine, and I don't foresee having to buy another pair for quite some time! (Posted on 6/13/12)

These are going to make me go deaf. But, I will enjoy the experience. Insanely loud, strangely isolating (even when I have them on and nothing is playing, I can barely hear whats happening around me) and superbly balanced. I have owned them for 4 days, but used them to play with live last night when my roomy was sleeping and the sound was.. pretty accurate, it didn\'t seem like I ended overcompensating for the supposed muddy high end at all. I\'ve read in reviews that the low and mid is a bit strong in this set of cans, but to be honest, the highs seem to be perfectly clear to me. (Posted on 1/28/11)
